“An Apology” by Dianne H. Timmering

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

This morning, I made a mistake and immediately apologized to one of my team members. The power of an apology, I didn’t expect it; but he thanked me and I felt better than he did, probably because I had immediately recognized my error and expressed it to him. It happens; we make mistakes. I guess I didn’t expect how freeing it would be for both of us: to recognize it, ask forgiveness and receive it. The power behind an apology opens the gate of forgiveness and the world is free. Love to you all for a perfect weekend.

“A Nun’s Desire” by Dianne H. Timmering

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 34:7
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

Recently, I found myself in the same aisle in a store as a nun who was looking at lotions, suncreen and such. I found her already beautiful, and just like you and me, searching for a lotion for dry skin, or protection from the sun, or for that perfect face cream to battle wrinkles. So I watched even though I tried not to, unable to keep from spying as she studied the products with great intent as a patient consumer. So I was surprised when she picked up the face cream which promised to reduce wrinkles in a week and headed for the check out and I thought how God had blessed her with this desire of her heart. And it occurred to me: His desire is to always bless. Always. Amen.

“Wear It Well” by Dianne H. Timmering

Saul answered, “But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me. 1 Samuel 9:21

Do you know how special you are to God? My prayers yesterday were for you to know that you are the recipe of His life, a cherished love, the brilliance of His heart. You are capable; you are able. Think of Saul, a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, who did not think he was worthy to wear the crown for the Israelite nation, who was chosen to do just that; or David who followed him, the youngest brother of many.

Saul was chosen because God chooses, maybe the least likely of us. You are worthy. Perhaps it is not about being chosen but what we do with it after you are. Saul made his own choices but there was no doubt he was to wear the crown. He just didn’t wear it well, so David came after him. Be chosen, and wear it well. Love to all.

“Steady” by Dianne H. Timmering

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way. Say to those with fearful hearts, be strong, do not fear. God will come . . .  Isaiah 35:3-4

The width of a blessing, how wide across the spectrum can it stretch? From the first anxious moments of the day, for unwritten hopes, for depleted faith, for fear of impossible healings. Can He really get it done? Don’t I have to pick just one? No, God says, collect all that wrestles with you, tell Me; He will get it done. Let Him strengthen your knees; let him steady your hands.  Let Him smile at the glow of your face. Love to all.

It Is Enough” by Dianne H. Timmering

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Isaiah 35:1

Why does the world sing in the earliest part of the day? Reborn and glistening with the dew of a warm shower, washed by the stars, dried in the gleam of Sun’s gilded hair. Newness drenches the world if even for a glimpse. But it is enough, until the next time. Blessings for a rich week.

“Give Us Liberty: Spiritual Freedom” by Dianne H. Timmering

Listen, you heavens, and I will speak;
hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.
Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.

Deuteronomy 14:31-32

We are blessed by the fruits of our spiritual freedom to rove, to discover, to be. Let us take our spiritual freedom and dive into our being, our purpose, our path of God, believing in the healings of our requests and asking for the desires of our hearts. Be so blessed in the fire of God and the depths of His endless love. God bless you; God bless America.  Dianne

If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country . . . Deuteronomy 28:1-2
