“The Little Things Do Not Go Unnoticed” by Dianne H. Timmering

Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Ruth 2:11-12

In the story of Ruth, this is an exchange between Boaz and Ruth where Boaz has agreed to let Ruth “gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters” for food. Boaz also offers for her to drink water whenever she needs it, etc. Ruth asks what she has done to earn such favor and Boaz replies as above, I heard what you did for your mother-in-law . . .

What we do even in the little things does not go unnoticed.
